Welcome to your quick warm up yoga for snowboarders.

This is only 5 mins long to make it easy to fit into your day before you head to the mountain.

You think you don’t have the time to warm up, especially if it’s a powder day. But taking the time to warm up before snowboarding could be really beneficial for you.

The benefits of warming up before snowboarding?

I know that it snowed, you’re super excited to get ready as fast as possible and head out to snowboard.

Your body will have just woken up, you’ll be stiff and then you’re heading into cold weather.

When you’re younger it’s great, but once you slowly get towards the end of your 20s, you do start to feel the burn in your thighs, the dreaded aches and pain.

So to help your body out, I created this yoga sequence to help you warm up your body, to avoid extra aches and pains and to get your body mountain ready.

I kept this class short for you, so you literally have no excuses not to warm up, you just need 5 minutes.

You’ll definitely feel the benefits if you fit in some extra time to warm up before you head out to ski or snowboard.

Mindfulness

Another great benefit for you to do yoga before snowboarding or skiing, is that it can really help with just taking a mindful break, before a busy day on the mountain.

Why do you need flexibility as a snowboarder or a skier?

You’ll need it to be able to reach down to your ski/snowboard bindings, it also helps to have some flexibility as snowsports are in fact a extreme sport and you need to be able to move freely to keep enjoying this sport that you love.

Eivy clothing, very kindly sent me some goodies from their Winter 2020-21 collection. I’ve always loved Eivy’s style, it perfectly mixes bad ass snowboarder chick and functional. I love the pattern of the Bloom sports bra and I practically live in their Icecold Tights in black!

A little info about Eivy

Eivy was created by snowboarder & fashion designer Anna Vister to challenge and expand the perception of how multiFUNctional Base Layers can be. From our snow fashion house in the mountain resort of Åre, Sweden, our vision is less stuff, more adventure through multiFUNctional clothing. We are family owned, value driven and independent.
