Nano Yoga Autumn Retreat Myoko

YOU’RE INVITED TO A NANO RETREAT

A 3 days, 2 nights getaway, to let yourself indulge in some much needed and well deserved me time.

The time for you to move and breathe in yoga classes. To enjoy a massage, soak in the onsen (hot spring bath) privately.

Spend some time alone or join along for a short hike to local sights (hopefully some autumn colours), eat yummy brunches and dinners.

NANO YOGA AUTUMN RETREAT

 

This retreat is for you whether you’re a beginner to yoga or a regular practitioner, the morning class will re-energize and awaken your body.

While the Saturday evening yoga class will be slower paced helping you to wind down for the evening. 

A one hour oil massage is also included in this Nano Retreat, to rejuvenate your body, mind and soul. 

You’ll be staying at Refre hotel, where you can relax while enjoying a private onsen (hot spring bath) with the loveliest and warmest of hosts, Pete and Jenni will make you feel right at home and each room is semi ensuite with a toilet and sink

The hotel is located in Akakura onsen village in Myoko, nestled below the foothills of the mountains, famous for its onsen (natural hot spring bath), trails and huge snowfalls in winter. A 3.5 hour drive (287 km/178.3 miles), 2.5 – 3 hour shinkansen and local train from central Tokyo.  

Two Brunch and two dinners will be provided in house, to keep your belly full of yummy food (we’ll cater if you have allergies or dietary requirements).

You’re welcome to spend some alone time during the day or join to walk to the local sites, possibly enjoy the autumn colours. 

They’ll be an optional Goddess Circle, to gether together to talk, be listened to and connect with one another. 

FOOD

We’ll enjoy yummy and healthy food with a drink, made in house at the lodge. We can cater to any dietary requirements.

THIS RETREAT IS FOR YOU IF

You’d like to enjoy a relaxing weekend away, to enjoy yoga classes, meet like minded people and enjoy yummy food in the natural, peaceful surroundings of Myoko.

To reach Myoko you will have to travel here by trains to Myoko Kogen station or by car to Refre Myoko.

THE AREA

Myoko is a stunning national park area and a perfect quiet getaway spot, with an abundance of nature, surrounded by greenery in the summers, turning golden and red in autumn.

The area first became known for it’s onsen (natural hot springs) over a 100 years ago, of which there are 4 different sources and colours.

Myoko is also famous for winter, with its huge snowfalls and many ski resorts.

 

YOGA WITH NANACO

This retreat is for you whether you’re a beginner to yoga or a regular practitioner, the morning class will re-energize and awaken your body.

While the evening yoga lesson on Saturday will be slower paced helping you to wind down.

They’ll be an opportunity to experience a Goddess Circle, where we gather together, to listen and share what’s on our hearts and minds, this is an opportunity to connect with one another. Recently mentioned in Japan Times article.

ACCOMODATION AT REFRE HOTEL

Refre Myoko is located in the centre of Akakura Onsen village, at the foothills of the ski resorts and hiking trails.

The owners Jenni and Pete are incredibly warm and welcoming. 

The lodge has two private onsen (natural hotspring bath) indoors and outdoors that you can use throughout your stay. A spacious loungeroom if you’d like to hang out during your free time. 

TRAVEL TO MYOKO

From Tokyo, take the Hokuriku shinkansen from Tokyo Station → Nagano Station → transfer to Shinano Tetsudo Kita-Shinano local line → to Myoko Kogen station

Parking is available free of charge if you travel by car.

what’s Included?

2 nights Accommodation. Semi ensuite with toilet and washbasin sink.

3 Yoga classes 

1 Goddess Circle

Indoor and outdoor onsen (hot spring bath) to be used privately

Welcome drink and nibbles before our first dinner together.

2 in house dinners, with a drink 

Pick up from Myoko Kogen station and back

SATURDAY 

8:30 – 9:30 – Yoga lesson

10:00 – 11:30 – Brunch

16:30 – 19:00 – Yin Yoga lesson and Goddess Circle

19:30 – Dinner by our very own chef

SUNDAY 

8:30 – 9:30 – Yoga lesson

12:00 – Option to join day activity or to spend some quiet time

17:30 – 19:00 – Yin Yoga

19:30 – Dinner by our very own chef

FINAL DAY – MONDAY

8:30 – 10:00 – Yoga & closing circle

PRICE 

Private or shared room.

Private room will be available for first come first served basis.

Once your place is confirmed for the retreat, your payment will be sent to your email.

If cancellations are made within 2 weeks of the retreat starting, no refund is possible. If the retreat doesn’t proceed as scheduled due to COVID 19, your payment will be automatically transferred to the alternate retreat dates or your payment will be used as credit for future retreats without an expiry date.

ABOUT NANO YOGA

The benefits that yoga have had on my mental and physical wellbeing, are what have kept me practicing and is what I’d like to share with you at Nano Yoga.

I’m Nanaco, I love yoga, meditation, nature, snowboarding and travel (you know when that was possible).

I’ve gathered all my knowledge, to create the best retreat, so you can enjoy all the best that Myoko has to offer. A retreat that’s centred on wellness, joy (we need some during  this pandemic) and connection.

When I’m not snowboarding fresh powder snow in winter, I’ll be found living the slow life in the Myoko mountains and teaching slow flow yoga to those who want to relax and feel the wellness benefits of yoga for their mental and physical well being.
