I’ve realised that my videos have been very specific to a theme, so I hope that you enjoy this series of yoga classes.
I usually warm up with breathing and gentle movements. This is mainly because it is so cold in winter, especially in the mountains, so it’s best to let the joints warm up to then move onto the rest of the yoga sequence.
I’m also aware that as a skier or snowboarder, you’d probably feel very stiff and your muscles would be seriously sore! Especially if it’s your first day back in a long time back on the mountain.
I work my way from the ankles all the way up to the neck slowly. The breathing at the starts also helps to not only calm your mind, but to also allow all that prana, oxygen to travel through your body, to warm you up from the inside first.
Then moving from your toes, slowly up to the ankles, knees, hips, spine, shoulders, wrists and finally up to your neck.
This video was taken on a beautiful sunny Spring day in May 2019, I had an encounter with a mosquito and losing out to the sun setting behind Mount Myoko by the end of the video.
